Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet
Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet (Valsartan) is a nonpeptide, orally active, and specific angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. Valsartan is chemically described as N- (1-isopentyl) -N-[[2’- (1H-tetrazole-5-yl) [1,1’-biphenyl] -4- yl] methyl]- L-valine. Its molecular formula is C24H29N5O3. Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet is also used to improve the chance of living longer after a heart attack. In people with heart failure. Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet may also lower the chance of having to go to the hospital for heart failure. Valsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs). Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Cova H 160 plus 12.5mg Tablet indicates the treatment of hypertension to lower blood pressure: In patients not adequately controlled with monotherapy. Initial therapy in patients is likely to need multiple drugs to achieve their blood pressure goals.

This medicine is indicated in the treatment of Hypertension, Heart Failure, and Post-Myocardial
Infarction.

When not to use
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Cova tablet 160 mg 14’s . Coadministration of Aliskiren and Cova tablet 160 mg 14’s is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease, with CrCl less than 60 ml/min. These patients are at a high risk of serious adverse effects if these medicines are used together.
