Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet

Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet (Pioglitazone+Glimepiride) combines two antihyperglycemic agents to improve glycemic control with type 2 diabetes:Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet ,  a member of the thiazolidinedione class and glimepiride, a member of the sulfonylurea class. Chemically Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet is [(±)-5-[[4-[2-(5-ethyl-2-pyridinyl) ethoxy] phenyl] methyl]-2, 4-] thiazolidinedione monohydrochloride. Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet molecular formula is C19H20N2O3S.HCl. Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet is used in the management of type 2 diabetes particularly in overweight patients. Zoliget 15 plus 2mg Tablet is used for managing non-insulin dependent diabetes

Pioglitazone hydrochloride: Midazolam: Administration of pioglitazone for 15 days followed by a single 7.5mg dose of midazolam syrup resulted in a 26% reduction in midazolam Cma x and AUC. K e t o c o n a z o l e : C o – a d m i n i s t r a t i o n o f p i o g l i t a z o n e f o r 7 d a y s w i t h k e t o c o n a z o l e 200mg administered twice daily resulted in a ratio of least square mean (90% CI) values for unchanged pioglitazone of 1.14 (1.06-1.23) for Cmax, 1.34 (1.26-1.41) for AUC and 1.87 (1.71-2.04) for Cmin .

 Uses

This medicine is used in the management of type 2 diabetes particularly in overweight patients. This medication is used for managing non-insulin dependent diabetes

Side effect :

Some patients might experience visual disturbance and Respiratory infection. Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symtpoms. Some patients might experience hypoglycemia and liver failure. Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

When not use :

Please consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have any of these conditions; hepatic impairment, cardiac failure or history of cardiac failure . Please consult your doctor before taking this medication if you have any of these conditions; insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type of diabetes), or diabetic Ketoacidosis (diabetic complication).
