Vilget M50 plus 1000mg Tablet(Vildagliptin + Metformin HCl) combines two antihyperglycemic agents to improve glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes, Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet. Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet is an inhibitor of the enzyme dipeptidylpeptidase-4 (DPP-4), which plays a role in regulating insulin secretion. Chemically, Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet is 1-[(3-Hydroxy-adamant- 1-ylamino)acetyl]-pyrrolidine-2(S)-carbonitrile. Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet molecular formula is C17H25N3O.Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet combination is not a substitute for insulin in insulin-requiring patients and should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes. Lactic acidosis Lactic acidosis is a very rare but serious metabolic complication that can occur due to metformin accumulation. If metabolic acidosis is suspected, treatment with the Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet should be discontinued and the patient hospitalized immediately. Renal impairment Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet combination should not be used in patients with renal failure or renal dysfunction, e.g. serum creatinine levels ≥ 1.5mg/dL (> 135micromol/L) in males and ≥1.4mg/dL (> 110micromol/L) in females. Treatment should be discontinued if evidence of renal impairment is present.

Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet has a low potential for interactions with co-administered medicinal products. Since Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet is not a cytochrome P (CYP) 450 enzyme substrate and does not inhibit or induce CYP 450 enzymes, it is not likely to interact with active substances that are substrates, inhibitors or inducers of these enzymes. As with other oral antidiabetic medicinal products the hypoglycemic effect of Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet may be reduced by certain active substances, including thiazides, corticosteroids, thyroid products and sympathomimetics.

 Uses

Vilget M 50 plus 1000mg Tablet is used with a proper diet and exercise program and possibly with other medications to control high blood sugar. It is used in patients with type 2 diabetes

 Side effect :

Dizziness,headache, nasopharyngitis, cough, constipation, increased sweating.

When not use :

Hypersensitivity to the drug, patients with diabetic ketoacidosis, hepatic impairment and diabetes type-II
