Uniferon 3miu Injection is an iron replacement product.Uniferon 3miu Injection is used to treat a type of anemia where you have too few red blood cells because you have too little iron in your body (iron-deficiency anaemia). Iron is needed to produce the red blood cells that carry oxygen around your body. Uniferon 3miu Injection 1 Vial work by affecting cell function/growth and the body’s natural defenses (immune system) in many ways. Adding more interferon may help your body fight off cancer or virus infections. Uniferon 3miu Injection is an anti-anemic medication.Uniferon 3miu Injection replenishes the iron stores in your body. Iron is vital for the formation of new red blood cells and hemoglobin, a substance that gives these cells the ability to transport oxygen. For the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in patients 1 year of age or older with compensated liver disease. Patients who have been serum HBsAg positive for at least 6 months and have evidence of HBV replication (serum HBeAg positive) with elevated serum ALT are candidates for treatment.

• For the treatment of chronic hepatitis C with compensated liver disease.
• In combination with ribavirin for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C in patients with compensated liver disease previously untreated with alfa interferon therapy or who have relapsed following alfa interferon therapy
• For the treatment of selected patients 18 years of age or older with AIDS-Related Kaposi’s Sarcoma.

Uses

Uniferon 3miu Injection medicine is used to treat long term active hepatitis B in patients positive for HBV-DNA. This medicine is used in combination with trabavirin.

Side effects

This medicine is known to cause sideffects which includes: Influenze (Flu) like symptoms , stomach and nervous system (brain like) effects, seizures, hyperglycemia (increased blood sugar).

When not use

It is not recommended in severe renal (kidney), hepatic (liver) or myeloid (white blood cells or platelets) dysfunction, seizures or nervous system impairment
