Seretide Diskus 50mg 250mg 60Doses Accuhaler is a combination medicine used to relieve symptoms such as shortness of breath, chest tightness, wheezing, coughing, etc. caused by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). This medicine is not recommended for use in patients less than 12 years of age.
Seretide Diskus 50mg 250mg 60Doses Fluticasone/salmeterol, sold under the brand name Advair among others, is a combination medication containing fluticasone propionate and salmeterol.It is used in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). It is used by inhaling the medication into the lungs.
The combination was approved for medical use in the United States in 2000. A generic version was approved in the United States in 2019. In 2017, it was the 65th most commonly prescribed medication in the United States, with more than twelve million prescriptions
Uses
Seretide Diskus is used in the treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (lung disorder) and asthma where other anti-asthmatic medicines fail to work
This medicine is used for treating seasonal or year around nasal allergic symptoms such as sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, and itching.
Seretide Diskus 50mg 250mg 60Doses Fluticasone, a corticosteroid, is the anti-inflammatory component of the combination which decreases inflammation in the lungs. This leads to improvement in breathing. Salmeterol, a LABA, treats constriction of the airways. The combination of both is meant to be used as maintenance therapy and not as a rescue therapy for sudden symptoms.
Side Effects
The side effects of this medication include oral candidiasis (fungal infection of the mouth), hoarseness (heavy voice), headache, palpitations, hypersensitivity reactions, tremor (involuntary shaking), irregular heartbeats, myalgia (muscle pain), arthralgia (joint pain), muscle cramps and irritation in the throat.

When Not To Use
Contrindications include Thyrotoxicosis (high levels of thyroid hormone in the body), diabetes, low amount of potassium in the blood, high blood pressure, cardiac issues, seizures, asthma that is getting worse. Hypersensitivity to the medication or its constituents.
