Pytex 20mg Tablets

Pytex 20mg Tablets are the product of the supermolecular encapsulation of piroxicam the cyclic oligosaccharide β- cyclodextrin. Its action as an analgesic is more rapid-fire than standard piroxicam.

Uses Of Pytex 20mg Tablets

• Ankylosing spondylitis
• Osteoarthritis
• Rheumatoid arthritis

Side Effects

• Headache
• Puking
• Doziness
• Dizziness and fainting
• Operation probative and characteristic treatment including gastric lavage and the use of actuated watercolor to reduce immersion.
• Correction of severe electrolyte abnormalities may be considered.
• It can cause abdominal pain,
• Anorexia,
• Constipation,
• Vomitting,
• Abnormal LFTs.

Interactions

• May reduce the effect of antihypertensive medicines.
• May intrude w the natriuretic effect of diuretics.
• May increase tube situations of cardiac glycoside.
• May displace other protein bound medicines(e.g. sulfonamides, hydantoins). Increased threat of GI bleeding anti-platelet agents and SSRIs.
• May drop the elimination of lithium.
• Increased threat of storms associated w quinolones.
• May reduce the effect of mifepristone.
• May drop the elimination of methotrexate.
• May increase ciclosporin nephrotoxicity.
• Increased threat of GI ulceration or bleeding corticosteroids.
• Reduced metabolism and elimination w probenecid.
• May inhibit the metabolism of sulfonylureas performing to an increased threat of hypoglycemia.

Contraindications

• Acuity or asthma-type responses to piroxicam, aspirin, or other NSAIDs.
• History or active GI ulceration
• Bleeding and perforation
• History of GI diseases that dispose to bleeding diseases(e.g. ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s complaint, GI cancers, or diverticulitis).
• Treatment of perioperative pain in the setting of CABG surgery.
• Attendant use in aspirin, other NSAIDs, and anticoagulants.

When Not To Use

• Hypersenstivity to the medicine
• Relative bleeding diseases
• Duodenal/ gastric/ peptic ulcer
• Stomatitis
• SLE
• Ulcerative colitis
• Upper GI complaint
• Late gestation( may beget unseasonable check of the ductus arteriosus)

• Case in unbridled HTN,
• CHF
•  Established ischaemic heart complaint,
• Supplemental arterial complaint,
• Cerebrovascular complaint,
• Threat factors for CV complaint,
• Cardiac impairment,
• History of bronchial asthma.
• Elderly.
• Renal and hepatic impairment.
• Gestation and lactation.
