Ostibon Tab 30’s is used for the treatment of vitamin D, calcium deficiency, and treatment of osteoporosis. Ostibon Tab 30’s is mostly used in special populations like the elderly, pregnant, breastfeeding who need vitamin D and calcium supplements. This vitamin is known to accumulate in the fat and liver, so excessive use or use for a prolonged period can be detrimental.

Ostibon Tab 30’s is used for the treatment and prevention of low calcium levels and resulting bone conditions including osteoporosis (weak bones due to low bone density). Vitamins D and K play essential roles in bone metabolism. Calcitriol, the most active vitamin D metabolite, augments active intestinal calcium uptake and reduces serum levels of parathyroid hormone

Ostibon Tab 30’s is a combination of medication that is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. It may be used to treat conditions caused by low calcium levels such as osteoporosis, weak bones, decreased activity of the parathyroid gland, and certain muscle disease (latent tetany).

Side Effects

Constipation, diarrhea or upset stomach may occur. These effects are usually temporary and may disappear as your body adjusts to this medication. If any of these effects persist or worsen, contact your doctor or pharmacist promptly. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.

When Not To Use

Patients with Renal calculi, hypercalciuria, hypophosphatemia, hypercalcemia. Before taking this product, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems.
