Novalgin 60 ml Syrup
Novalgin 60 ml Syrup is used for Headache, Toothache, Joint pain, Muscle pain, Neuralgia, Herpes zoster, Inflammatory degenerative articular rheumatism, Gall or kidney colic surgery or trauma, Menstruation pain and other conditions.
The active ingredient in is metamizole (metamizol sodium monohydrate). Novalgin Syrup works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins. Novalgin 60 ml Syrup is used in the short-term treatment of high fever and severe, acute pain.
Metamizole is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID). It works by blocking the release of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation (redness and swelling).Metamizole has a potential of blood-related toxicity (blood dyscrasias), but causes less kidney, cardiovascular, and gastrointestinal toxicity than non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Like NSAIDs, it can trigger bronchospasm or anaphylaxis, especially in those with asthma.
Uses
Novalgin 60 ml Syrup is used in the treatment of pain caused by a toothache, headache, arthralgia (joint pain), neuralgia (nerve pain), myalgia (muscle pain), colicky pain, and severe pain after surgeries, traumas (injuries), etc. Novalgin 2 ml Injection acts as a fever reducer and used to treat a high fever.

Side effects of Novalgin 60 ml Syrup can include increase in heart rate, Nausea and Vomiting, Stomach pain, Difficulty in swallowing, Dry mouth, Dizziness and Drowsiness, Headache, Skin rash, Itching , Pain at the injection site
