NERVON500MCG TABLET (Mecobalamin) is a B12 containing coenzyme with an active methyl base.NERVON 500MCG TABLET plays an important role in red blood cell formation, methylation reaction, brain and nervous system functions and immune system functions. Chemically, NERVON 500MCG TABLET is described as α (5,6-Dimethylbenzimidazolyl)- Co-methyl-cobamide. The molecular formula of NERVON 500MCG TABLET is C63H91CoN13O14P. NERVON 500MCG TABLET (Mecobalamin) is indicated for the treatment of: 1. Peripheral neuropathies. 2. Megaloblastic anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. NERVON 500MCG TABLET (Mecobalamin) is indicated for the treatment of: 1. Peripheral neuropathies. 2. Megaloblastic anemia caused by vitamin B12 deficiency. NERVON 500MCG TABLET injection should not be used over a period of months if there is lack of satisfactory clinical response in patients with megaloblastic anemia probably due to vitamin B12 deficiency or with peripheral neuropathies. Pregnancy and Lactation Mecobalamin is not recommended in pregnant and lactating women. Drug Interactions – Decreased GI tract absorption with neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, H2-blockers and colchicine. – Reduced serum concentrations with oral contraceptives. – Reduced effects in anemia with parenteral chloramphenicol. – Decreased GI tract absorption with neomycin, aminosalicylic acid, H2-blockers and colchicine. – Reduced serum concentrations with oral contraceptives. – Reduced effects in anemia with parenteral chloramphenicol. Generally NERVON 500MCG TABLET is well tolerated.  Side effects

The patient administered with NERVON 500MCG TABLET may experience nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and diarrhoa, if notice any , consult with your doctor.

 When not use

NERVON 500MCG TABLET is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to this drug or any component of this product or other B12 containing products.
