Lodopin Tablets 2.5mg 2×10’s

Lodopin Tablets 2.5mg 2×10’s is used to lower your blood pressure. It can be used alone or in combination with other heart medications. Amlodipine is also used to help blood flow more easily to your heart when the arteries in your heart are blocked. Amlodipine is also used to treat coronary artery disease and angina (chest pain).

Lodopin Tablets does not matter what time of day you take amlodipine (morning or evening) but it is best to take it at the same time every day when you are most likely to remember, for more even blood levels and therefore effectiveness. Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that dilates blood vessels and improves blood flow.

Do not stop taking amlodipine suddenly. Although no “rebound” effect has been reported, it is better to slowly decrease the dosage over a period of time. Your doctor may advise you to take sublingual nitroglycerin for any break-through angina pain. If you have been using this medicine regularly for several weeks, do not suddenly stop using it. Stopping suddenly may cause your chest pain or high blood pressure to come back or get worse. Check with your doctor for the best way to reduce gradually the amount you are taking before stopping completely.
