Leflox250mg Tablet (Levofloxacin) is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Chemically, Leflox 250mg Tablet, a chiral fluorinated carboxyquinilone, is the pure (-)-(S)-enantiomer of the racemic drug substance ofloxacin with a chemical name of: (-)-(S)-9-fluoro-2,3- dihydro-3-methyl-10-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-7-oxo-7H-pyrido[1,2,3-de]-1,4 benzoxazine6-carboxylic acid hemihydrate. The molecular formula of Leflox 250mg Tablet is C18H20FN3O4.1/2H2O .Leflox 250mg Tablet is an antibiotic, used in the treatment of bacterial infections. Leflox 250mg Tablet is also used in treating infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia). Leflox 250mg Tablet cures the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms. Leflox 250mg Tablet should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Leflox 250mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.

You may have a headache, dizziness, nausea, and constipation as side effects of this medicine. These are usually temporary and resolves on its own, but please consult your doctor if it bothers you or persists for a longer duration.

Uses

Leflox 250mg Tablet is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching.

Side effects

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor , if found any of the sign : Headache, Dizziness, Nausea, Constipation, Diarrhea.

 When not use

Leflox 250mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to levofloxacin or ofloxacin, have tendon disorders, epilepsy (a disorder of abnormal brain activity characterized by seizures), myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness) and methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus infection.
