Leflox 750mg Iv Injection

Leflox 750mg Iv Injection (Levofloxacin) is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibacterial agent. Chemically, levofloxacin, a chiral fluorinated carboxyquinilone, is the pure (-)-(S)-enantiomer of the racemic drug substance ofloxacin with a chemical name of: (-)-(S)-9-fluoro-2,3- dihydro-3-methyl-10-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-7-oxo-7H-pyrido[1,2,3-de]-1,4 benzoxazine6-carboxylic acid hemihydrate. The molecular formula is C18H20FN3O4.1/2H2O . Leflox 750mg Iv Injection is an antibiotic, used in the treatment of bacterial infections. It is also used in treating infections of the urinary tract, nose, throat, skin and soft tissues and lungs (pneumonia). It cures the infection by stopping the further growth of the causative microorganisms.

Leflox 750mg Iv Injection should be used in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food, preferably at a fixed time. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. Simply take the next dose as planned.

You may have a headache, dizziness, nausea, and constipation as side effects of this medicine. These are usually temporary and resolves on its own, but please consult your doctor if it bothers you or persists for a longer duration. Diarrhea may also occur as a side effect but should stop when your course is complete. Inform your doctor if it does not stop or if you find blood in your stools.

Uses

It is used to relieve allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes/nose, sneezing, hives, and itching.

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine.

 When not use

The medicine is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to levofloxacin or ofloxacin, have tendon disorders, epilepsy (a disorder of abnormal brain activity characterized by seizures), myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness) and methicillin resistant staphylococcus aureus infection.
