Gabica 150mg Capsule is the first drug approved by FDA for the treatment of fibromyalgia. Gabica 150mg Capsule is also used for the relief of nerve pain or seizures. While Pregabalin Tablets/Capsules is chemically similar to the drug Neurontin (Gabapentin). As with all Antiepileptic Drugs, Gabica 150mg Capsule should withdraw gradually to minimize the potential of increased seizure frequency in patients with seizure disorders. On the other hand, If Gabica 150mg Capsule  is discontinued this should be done gradually over a minimum of 1 week.

Gabica 150mg Capsule should be discontinued immediately if symptoms of angioedema, such as facial, perioral or upper airway swelling occur. However, patients who require concomitant treatment with CNS depressants such as opiates or benzodiazepines. They should be informed that they may experience additive CNS side effects somnolence. On the other hand, Pregabalin may potentiate the effects of ethanol and lorazepam. Therefore also some reports of respiratory failure and coma in patients taking Pregabalin and other CNS depressant medications. On the other hand, Pregabalin Medicine (Gabica) Tablets appears to be additive in the impairment of cognitive and gross motor function caused by oxycodone.Gabica 150mg Capsule is  contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug

Uses

 Gabica 150mg Capsule is used to treat pain caused by nerve damage due to diabetes or shingles (herpes zoster) infection, Pregabalin is used to treat pain caused by fibromyalgia, or nerve pain in people with diabetes (diabetic neuropathy), herpes zoster (post-herpetic neuralgia), or spinal cord injury.

Side Effects

Gabica 150mg Capsule can cause Drowsiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, and weight gain may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

When not to use

Gabica 150mg Capsule is  contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug
