Freehale Sachet 4mg

Freehale Sachet 4mg is used to control and prevent symptoms (such as wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. It is also used before exercise to prevent breathing problems during exercise (bronchospasm).


Uses

  • Montelukast is used to control and prevent symptoms (such as wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma.
  • It is also used before exercise to prevent breathing problems during exercise (bronchospasm).
  • This medicine can help reduce how often you use an immediate-release inhaler.
  • Montelukast is also used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever and allergic rhinitis (such as sneezing, stuffy/runny/itchy nose).
  • Because there are other anti-allergy medicines that may be safer (see also Section , Warning), this medicine should only be used for this condition when other anti-allergy medicines cannot be taken or are inappropriate.
  • This medication needs to be used regularly to be effective.
  • It does not work immediately and should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks or breathing difficulties.
  • If you have an asthma attack or sudden shortness of breath, use your reliever inhaler as directed.
  • This drug works by blocking certain natural substances (leukotrienes) that can cause or worsen asthma and allergies.
  • It helps make breathing easier by reducing swelling (inflammation) in the airways.

Side Effects Of Freehale Sachet 4mg

  • Remember, this medicine has been prescribed for you because your doctor has decided that the benefits for you outweigh the risk of side effects.
  • Many people using this drug do not experience any serious side effects.
  • Tell your doctor right away if you notice any serious side effects including: numbness/tingling/throbbing pain in your arms or legs, chest pain/swelling, muscle weakness, uncontrollable muscle movements, stuttering.
  • A very severe allergic reaction to this drug is rare.
  • However, see a doctor straight away if you get any signs of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, difficulty breathing.
  • This is not a complete list of possible side effects.
  • If you notice symptoms other than those listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

How To Use Freehale Sachet 4mg?

  • Before you start taking montelukast, and any time you are given a dietary supplement, read the medication guide provided by your pharmacist.
  • Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
  • Take this medicine with or without food as directed by your doctor.
  • The dosage depends on your age and medical condition.
  • Chew chewable tablets thoroughly before swallowing.
  • If your child cannot chew and swallow them safely, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
  • Take your medicine at the same time each day.
  • If you are taking this medicine for asthma or asthma and allergies, take your dose in the evening.
  • If you’re only taking montelukast to prevent allergies, take your dose in the morning or evening.

  • The chewable tablets may contain aspartame.
  • If you have phenylketonuria (PKU) or another condition that requires limitation/avoidance of aspartame (or phenylalanine) in your diet, consult your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this medication.
