Dinacor Susp 125mg-5ml 60ml is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Infants and children 6 months up to 12 years of age—Dose is based on body weight and must be determined by your doctor. The dose is usually 7 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight every twelve hours or 14 milligrams (mg) per kilogram (kg) of body weight per day, taken for 5 to 10 days.

Cefdinir is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as bronchitis (infection of the airway tubes leading to the lungs); pneumonia; and infections of the skin, ears, sinuses, throat, and tonsils. Cefdinir is in a class of medications called cephalosporin antibiotics.

Cefdinir is a cephalosporin-type antibiotic effective at treating mild-to-moderate infections caused by susceptible gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Side effects are generally mild and infrequent. Avoid using antacids or mineral supplements that contain aluminum, magnesium, or iron within 2 hours before or after taking cefdinir. Antacids or iron can make it harder for your body to absorb cefdinir. This does not include baby formula fortified with iron.

Uses

This medicine is used in lung infections, urinary tract infections, ENT (ear, nose, and throat) infections, skin and bone infections. It can also be used to treat gonorrhea (sexually transmitted disease) and syphilis ( sexually transmitted disease). It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

Side Effects

This medicine can cause allergy, rash, stomach upset, colitis (inflammation of the colon), neutropenia (decrease White blood cells), or Stevens-Johnson syndrome (skin disorder). Please consult your doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.

When Not To Use

Please consult your doctor before using this medicine if you have penicillin (antibiotic) or cephalosporins (antibiotic) allergy or a rash condition.
