Destina Tablets 5mg 10’s is used in adults and children to relieve hay fever and allergy symptoms, including sneezing; runny nose; and red, itchy, tearing eyes. It is also used to relieve symptoms of urticaria (itchy raised areas of the skin), including itching and rash. Desloratadine doses of 5, 7.5, 10, and 20 mg were similarly effective, significantly reducing the nasal and nonnasal symptoms of SAR for a full 24 hours.

Destina is used to relieve the symptoms of allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal passages caused by an allergy, for example, hay fever or allergy to dust mites) or urticaria (a skin condition caused by an allergy, with symptoms including itching and hives). The medicine can only be obtained with a prescription. Desloratadine belongs to a class of drugs called antihistamines. A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way. These drugs are often used to treat similar conditions. Desloratadine works by blocking the release of a chemical called histamine from the cells in your body.

Before using Destina Tablet, inform your doctor about your current list of medications, over the counter products, allergies, pre-existing diseases, and current health conditions. Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the drug. Take as directed by your doctor or follow the direction printed on the product insert.
