Cova 80mg Tablet

Cova 80mg Tablet (Valsartan) is a nonpeptide, orally active and specific angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. Valsartan is chemically described as N- (1-oxopentyl) -N-[[2’- (1H-tetrazol-5-yl) [1,1’-biphenyl] -4- yl] methyl]- L-valine. Its molecular formula is C24H29N5O3. Cova 80mg Tablet is used to treat high blood pressure and heart failure. Cova 80mg Tablet is also used to improve the chance of living longer after a heart attack. In people with heart failure, it may also lower the chance of having to go to the hospital for heart failure. Valsartan belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin receptor blockers (ARBs).Cova 80mg Tablet works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily. Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problem. Cova 80mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Cova 80mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Cova tablet 160 mg 14’s .

Uses

Cova 80mg Tablet is indicated in treatment of Hypertension,Heart Failure,Post-Myocardial Infarction.

When not to use

Cova 80mg Tablet is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the drug. Cova 80mg Tablet is not recommended for use in patients with a known allergy to Cova tablet 160 mg 14’s . Coadministration of Aliskiren and Cova tablet 160 mg 14’s is not recommended in the elderly population with diabetes and kidney disease, with CrCl less than 60 ml/min. These patients are at a high risk of serious adverse effects if these medicines are used together.
