Co-Renitec Tab 10mg/25mg 20’s is of Synthetic origin and belongs to Phenylpropyl Amino acid. It belongs to Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor-ACEI pharmacological group on the basis of mechanism of action and also classified in Antihypertensive Agents pharmacological group.The Molecular Weight of Enalapril (Maleate) is 492.50. Its pKa is 3.0, 5.4.

Enalapril (Maleate) is primarily indicated in conditions like Congestive heart failure, Diabetic retinopathy, Essential hypertension, Heart failure (adjunct), Hypertension, Left ventricular dysfunction, NSAID-associated gastric and duodenal ulcers, Renal hypertension, Severe or recurrent duodenal and gastric ulcertion, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Essential and renovascular hypertension.

Hydrochlorothiazide is primarily indicated in conditions like Diabetes insipidus, Edema, Hypercalciuria, Hypertension, Nephrolithiasis, Nephrotic syndrome, Oedema, Proximal renal tubular acidosis, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Exercise induced hyperkalemia, Osteoporosis, Renal hypophosphatemic rickets.

Uses

This medicine is used in congestive heart faliure and for all stages of hypertension (high blood pressure).

This medication is used for lowering blood pressure in hypertensive (increased blood pressure) patients and for treating edema (excess fluid in the body) associated with heart disease. It can also be used to treat Nephrotic Syndrome.

Side Effects

The use of this medicine is associated with side effects such as neutropenia (low levels of white blood cells), hypotension (low blood pressure), rash or loss of taste.

When Not To Use

This medicine is not recommended to be used in patients with aortic stenosis (narrowing of aortic valve) and kidney impairment.

Patients with kidney disease must be cautious.
