Cipesta 125mg Syrup
Cipesta 125mg Syrup contains ciprofloxacin which is a synthetic broad-spectrum antimicrobial agent for intravenous administration. Cipesta Syrup, a fluoroquinolone, is 1-cyclopropyl- 6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(1-piperazinyl)-3-quinolinecarboxylic acid. Cipesta Syrup molecular formula is C17H18FN3O3.
Cipesta 125mg Syrup is indicated for lower respiratory tract infections due to Gram-negative bacteria: exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, broncho-pulmonary infections in cystic fibrosis or in bronchiectasis, pneumonia.
Cipesta Syrup is used for the treatment of severe bacterial infections.
They only work with specific strains of bacteria. respiratory tract, urinary tract, genital tract infections in men and women, stomach and intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue, bone and joint infections.
- Chronic suppurative otitis media.
- Acute exacerbation of chronic sinusitis especially if these are caused by Gram-negative bacteria
- Urinary tract infections
- Genital tract infections: gonococcal urethritis and cervicitis due to susceptible Neisseria gonorrhoeae, epididymo-orchitis including cases due to susceptible Neisseria gonorrhoeae and pelvic inflammatory disease including cases due to susceptible Neisseria gonorrhoeae.
- Infections of the gastro intestinal tract (e.g. travelers’ diarrhea)
- Intra-abdominal infections
- Infections of the skin and soft tissue caused by Gram-negative bacteria
- Malignant external otitis
- Infections of the bones and joints
- Prophylaxis of invasive infections due to Neisseria meningitis
- Nausea, diarrhea, dizziness, lightheadedness, headache, or trouble sleeping may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

When not to use
Hypersensitivity to Cipesta 125mg Syrup or any similar antibiotics (Quinolones).
