Brevoxyl 4% Cream

Brevoxyl 4% Cream can be used to treat mild-to-moderate acne. You can combine it with other acne treatments. It works by decreasing the number of acne-causing bacteria on the skin and causing it to dry and peel.

This medication is used to treat mild to moderate acne (skin condition).

Contraindications Of Brevoxyl 4% Cream

Patients with history of,

  • ulcerative colitis
  • large or small intestine disease (disease)
  • or patients with a history of chronic regional enteritis (disease) should not take this medicine.

How Effective?

  • Brevoxyl contains Benzoyl Peroxide.
  • This medicine is part of the group known as antibiotics. 
  • Brevoxyl 40g is effective in reducing acne-causing bacteria.
  •  Brevoxyl 40g can also reduce dryness and peeling. 
  • After 4 weeks, Brevoxyl 40g showed positive results. 
  • Brevoxyl 40g may be used for up to 2 months.

How To Use

  • Before you use this product, and every time you refill it, make sure you read the Patient Information Leaflet.
  • Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you have any questions.
  • Make sure you have tested positive for allergies before using this product to treat your first time.
  •  Apply a small amount to one or two areas of your acne for three days.
  • You should immediately stop using this product if you experience an allergic response.
  • (See the Side Effects section for more information about the symptoms of an allergic reactions).
  • You can still use the product if you do not have an allergic reaction.
  • Many benzoyl-peroxide products are available.
  • Many of these products can be bought without the need for a prescription.
  • Some products, such as creams, cleansers foams, lotions, and foams, may require a prescription.
  • Talk to your pharmacist or doctor about the best product for you.
  • You must read and follow the instructions on the package if you use the over-the-counter medication to treat yourself.
