Bekson Fort Inhaler

Bekson Fort Inhaler are pressurized metered dose inhalers that deliver 250mcg Beclomethasone dipropionate per actuation into the mouth piece of specially designed actuator. BEKSON FORTE (Beclomethasone dipropionate) Inhaler contains HFA 134a as propellant and does not contain any chlorofluorocarbons. The chemical name of Beclomethasone dipropionate is 9-chloro-11ß- hydroxy-16ß-methyl-3, 20-dioxopregna -1, 4-diene-17, 21-diyl dipropionate. Its molecular formula is C28H37ClO7
It is used for the maintenance treatment of asthma as prophylactic therapy in patients 5 years of age and older. To reduce or eliminate the need for systemic corticosteroids in asthma patients requiring systemic corticosteroid administration. This product is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma or ongoing lung disease

Uses
This product is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma or ongoing lung disease (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease-COPD, which includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema).To reduce or eliminate the need for systemic corticosteroids in asthma patients requiring systemic corticosteroid administration.

Side Effects
Headache, throat irritation, or stomach upset may occur. Tell your doctor right away if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: white patches on tongue/in mouth, signs of infection (such as fever, persistent sore throat), mental/mood changes (such as nervousness), trouble sleeping, vision problems (such as blurred vision), increased thirst/urination, muscle cramps, shaking (tremors).

When not to use

Beclomethasone dipropionate is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the drug or any component of the product. – Tubercular (active or quiescent) and local viral infections.
