Artem Plus 80mg,480mg ds tablet is used to treat certain kinds of malaria infections (a serious infection that is spread by mosquitoes in certain parts of the world and can cause death). Artemether and lumefantrine should not be used to prevent malaria.
Administration Instructions. Coartem Tablets should be taken with food. Patients with acute malaria are frequently averse to food. Patients should be encouraged to resume normal eating as soon as food can be tolerated since this improves absorption of artemether and lumefantrine.

Abdominal pain, anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, palpitation, prolonged qt interval , cough , headache,dizziness, asthaenia (weakness), sleep disturbances , GI upset , fatigue , cough, gait disturbances (problems in the manner of walking) and sleep disturbances among others. When Not To Use
This medication should not be used in patients with a history of arrhythmias (problems with the rate and rhythm of the heart) , clinically relevant bradycardia(significantly low heart rate ) and other cardiac (heart related disorders). It should also not be used in patients with severe malaria or in other plasmodium infections (infections of the microorganism plasmodium).
