Ansaid Tab 100mg 30’s is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). This medicine works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. Ansaid is used to treat pain or inflammation caused by osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Ansaid may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Flurbiprofen is a member of the phenylalkanoic acid derivative family of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is primarily indicated as a pre-operative anti-miotic (in an ophthalmic solution) as well as orally for arthritis or dental pain. Side effects are analogous to those of ibuprofen.
It was derived from propionic acid by the research arm of Boots UK during the 1960s, a period which also included the discovery of ibuprofen, indometacin, diclofenac, naproxen, ketoprofen, and sulindac.
This medication is used for treating pain, swelling, and joint stiffness caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis (an autoimmune disorder that primarily affects joints), osteoarthritis (a disorder of the joints and bone), and ankylosing spondylitis (a rare type of arthritis that causes pain and stiffness of the spine).Flurbiprofen is used to reduce pain, swelling, and joint stiffness from arthritis. The patients administered with this medicine may experience gastrointestinal disturbances, jaundice (rare), thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), swelling, mouth ulcers, dizziness, and visual disturbances. flurbiprofen (the active ingredient contained in Ansaid) may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
When Not To Use
Patients with peptic ulcer disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and aspirin/anti-inflammatory agents associated allergies should avoid the use of this medicine.
