Cordarone Tablets 200mg 3×10’s is used to treat certain types of serious (possibly fatal) irregular heartbeat (such as persistent ventricular fibrillation/tachycardia). It is used to restore normal heart rhythm and maintain a regular, steady heartbeat. Amiodarone is known as an anti-arrhythmic drug. Grapefruit and grapefruit juice may increase the side effects of amiodarone by increasing the amount of this medicine in your body.

You should not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you are using this medicine. Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. Amiodarone may take 2 weeks or longer to have an effect on your body. Also, Cordarone Tablets 200mg 3×10’s drug stays in your body for weeks to months, even after you are no longer taking it.

In addition to being an antiarrhythmic medication, amiodarone also causes blood vessels to dilate (enlarge). Co-Plavix Tablets 75mg 10’s effect can result in a drop in blood pressure. Because of this effect, it also may be of benefit in patients with congestive heart failure.

Uses

This medicine is used to treat and prevent heart disorders such as recurrent ventricular fibrillation (heart rhythm problem) and abnormal heart conditions associated with Wolff-Parkinson-White Syndrome ( heartbeats abnormally fast).

Side Effects

Severe bradycardia (decreased heart rate), headaches, fatigue, nightmares, hallucination and depression, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and constipation, corneal deposits, skin changes, ataxia, tremors, pulmonary changes, arthropathies, marked body weight loss. Hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, corneal microdeposits, raised serum transaminases, acute liver disorders, extrapyramidal tremor, sleep disorders, photosensitivity, optic neuropathy and neuritis, Stevens Johnsons syndrome, or toxic epidermal necrolysis.

When Not To Use

Severe arterial hypotension, cardiovascular collapse, and shock, all kinds of conduction delays, bradycardia (decreased heart rate), thyroid disorders, iodine allergy, pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs), severe liver parenthetic damage, women of childbearing age.
